  • COMMUNITY KITCHEN

    We, along with our partner NGOs, responded to the emergency by arranging 13 community kitchens for more than 1500 odd people on a daily basis in:

    • Purba Sridharpur

    • Gobardhanpur l & II
    • South & North South Surnendraganj
  • MEDICAL CAMPS

    We contributed over 14 lacs to arrange medical camps for the cyclone affected villagers. Around 9500 people were benefited for 10 days through:

  • SUPPORT FOR BETEL LEAF GARDEN

    Cyclone Bulbul ravaged almost all of betel leaf farmlands and standing rice crops. Kolkata Gives contributed 7.5 lacs to reach out to 150 farmers to help them restore betel leaf farms.

  • FISHING BOATS REPAIRMENT

    Many fishermen were found dead and many went missing after cyclone Bulbul retreated from West Bengal. We helped repair almost 25 damaged boats of those fishermen who lost their only source of income, fishing.

  • THATCHED HUTS REPAIRMENT

    When the cyclone wreaked havoc on the Sundarbans, hundreds of trees were uprooted, due to which 50% of the houses got ruined. Kolkata Gives supported almost 50 families to

    • Rebuild their houses
    • Get a roof above their heads
  • DRY RATION

    We supported almost 3200 people of Sundarbans for cooking a standard meal by donating more than 11 lacs:

    • Staples
    • Groceries (rice, lentils, cooking oil, and salt)
  • MISCELLANEOUS
    • Tarpaulin sheet distributed to 900 villagers
    • Sanitary pads given to 5000 women
    • Pond water cleaned which benefited 600 people
    • Solar lamps provided to help 500 students in the villages
